Fortified Living is a faith-based preparedness resource for people who take stewardship seriously. We believe preparation isn't fear ... it's wisdom. Every guide, product recommendation, and tool on this site exists to help you protect and provide for the people God entrusted to you.

The Story Behind This

I'm Randall Russell. Marine Corps veteran. Twenty years in IT administration. Forty years studying biblical eschatology. And somewhere along the way, I realized that the preparedness space had a gap nobody was filling.

On one side, you've got the tacticool crowd ... all camo and bravado, selling fear with every headline. On the other side, you've got the faith community saying “just trust God” while their pantry holds three cans of soup and a prayer.

Neither extreme is biblical. Neither extreme is practical.

Scripture is filled with people who trusted God andprepared. Joseph stored grain for seven years before the famine. Nehemiah armed the builders while they rebuilt the walls. Jesus told His disciples to carry a purse, a supply bag, and a sword. Faith and readiness aren't opposites ... they're partners.

That's what Fortified Living is about. Practical preparedness rooted in biblical wisdom. No fear-mongering. No hype. Just clear, honest guidance for people who want to be ready without losing their minds ... or their faith ... in the process.

What We Do

We write practical guides that respect your intelligence and your time. Every article follows a simple format: what's happening in the world, what scripture says about it, and what you can do about it today.

What We Believe

• Preparedness is stewardship. If you've been given a family, a home, and resources, you have a responsibility to protect them. That's 1 Timothy 5:8, plain as day.
• Fear is not the foundation. We don't use scare tactics to sell products. If you're making decisions out of panic, you're making bad decisions.
• KJV is our standard. All scripture references on this site come from the King James Version.
• Honest recommendations only. When we recommend a product, it's because we'd use it ourselves. Affiliate commissions don't change our opinions.
